Seasonal Events
Learn how oysters are raised from seed to harvest with Epic Excursions on their Oyster Farm Tour & Tasting April 8. Pair live music with your meal at Bluewater Waterfront Grill’s concert series each Sunday beginning April 2 or Oceanic’s music series each Sunday and Thursday beginning April 6. Enjoy five days of stand-up paddleboarding clinics and competitions at the Carolina Cup April 26-30. Visitors can register to learn from the pros during the clinics or sign-up to race with the best during the three Saturday races: the 3.5-mile Harbor Island Recreational, the 6.5-mile Money Island Open and the 13-mile Graveyard Elite Race.

ISLAND ADVENTURES
Feel the sea breeze with a lesson from local sailing schools. Paddle out at your own pace with a stand-up paddleboarding or kayak lesson with area outfitters. Bring the whole family to experience the island’s history from a new perspective with Wrightsville Beach Scenic Tours newest cruise, Airlie Gardens & Bradley Creek Boat Trip. Or, embark on a private cruise and explore the island with Soundside Adventures. Beginning in May, join the experts from Audubon North Carolina every Monday at 9 a.m. for Free Bird Walks and catch a glimpse of the black skimmer bird species nesting areas. Stay active on dry land with a walk or jog along the scenic Loop, a 2.5-mile trail encircling the island.
GARDEN BLOOMS
Situated on the west end of Wrightsville Beach Park is Harbor Way Gardens. Relax on benches situated along paved paths surrounded by large trees and beautiful spring blooms. Children can cool off and play in the Children's Fountain, while adults can bring yoga mats and take their practice outdoors. Admire the roses and local art during Art in the Harbor Way Gardens May 21. Visit April 14-16 to take in the spectacular Azalea blooms at nearby Airlie Gardens during the Azalea Garden Tour. The gardens feature more than 67 acres of formal gardens and walking trails, as well as a seasonal butterfly house and the must-see Airlie Oak, a nearly 500-year-old wonder.
